Burn it Off

my self-inflicted panopticon failed.

it's interesting how electronics sometimes just need a little nudge. i've solved car electronics problems by shorting out components. sometimes just has to burn off an internal short or confuse a computer enough that it'll just restart...

switches often behave as such.

but i was MOST surprised this morning. two days ago i dropped my phone for (what i thought was) the last time. the screen went buggy for about 3 seconds and then the top 4/5 of it went dark blue. i couldn't fuckin' read anything except "menu" and "contacts"...but of course i couldn't tell what contacts were what 'cause all i could see at the bottom was the number....and really...who even knows their best friends' phone number anymore (all i know is my mom's and my x-girlfriend...).

so...useless, so i plugged in my 3 y/o piece of shit that i SO almost threw away a few months ago. it works, but the buttons are sticky, the vibrator doesn't work, the sound is AWFUL, and people on the other end of my line say i'm really quiet and broken up. oh, and the screen is so hazed over (long story) that i can't see anything in the sunlight (have to shade it to see anything).

BUT, decided this morning to open up the one i just dropped to see if i could find anything blatantly wrong or, possibly, salvage parts between the two (two generations of thes ame phone, LG F9100 and F9200). with it completely apart, i thought, well, let's see what happens if i power it up. low and behold (what does that even mean?), full screen.

booyah.
